Police Search for Runaway Herndon Teen, May Be in Reston

Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down 15-year-old Yamil Sarai Gomez.

HERNDON, VA — A teenage girl from Herndon has been reported as a "runaway juvenile" by the Herndon Police Department, and she may be in the Reston area, police say.

The Herndon Police Department issued a flyer Oct. 25 for 15-year-old Yamil Sarai Gomez, asking that anyone who sees her call police. She was last seen at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 10 when she left her home.

She is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall weighing about 115 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

"Yamil was last seen wearing a blue sweater, pink shirt and gray pants," the flyer states. "Yamil may be in the Reston area."

Police ask that anyone who has seen her call 703-435-6846.
