Police: Woman Robbed At Local Shopping Center

The middle-aged suspect fled the scene on foot, say Fairfax County police.

The Fairfax County police are searching for a suspect, described as a middle-aged Hispanic man, who committed a daylight robbery Thursday at a Herndon-area shopping center.

The robbery occurred at about 3 p.m. in the 12900 block of Highland Crossing Drive, in Woodland Park Crossing, according to a police report.

The victim was walking to her car in a public garage and was approached by the suspect. He displayed a knife, demanded money and then told the victim to drive him to an ATM. The victim did not have a bank card with her.

The suspect then took cash and property and fled on foot, the police report said. The suspect was described as Hispanic, about 50 years of age, with wavy hair, wearing a light blue shirt and light brown pants.
