The charges stem from an incident in the 2500 block of Fallon Drive, in a subdivision west of the Fairfax County Parkway and south of the Dulles Toll Road, according to a police report.

Police responded at 5:22 p.m. Tuesday to the report of an indecent exposure. The victim was in her residence and saw a man standing in her backyard, the report said. The suspect exposed himself to the victim, then fled.

Police officers located Ayala and attempted to take him into custody. During the arrest, he resisted and assaulted an officer, the report said. Another officer deployed the stun gun, or conducted energy weapon, and Ayala was arrested after a short foot chase.

Neither the officers nor Ayala required medical attention, the report added.
