Pursuit In Herndon Leads To Arrest: Police

Police charged the man with eluding piece, drunk driving, and other offenses.

STERLING, VA -- A man who led police on a chase in Herndon has been arrested on a litany of charges, police say.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office located a vehicle in the 40 block of Wedgedale Drive in Sterling at around 2 a.m. on Dec. 30 that had been "involved in a pursuit earlier in Herndon," according to a report from the sheriff's office.

Deputies pursued the vehicle to Seneca Ridge Road, and the driver then jumped out and fled on foot. Police later located him near his residence and took him into custody without further incident, the report states.

Police charged 33-year-old Arturo Rojo-Cervates of Sterling with two counts of eluding police, driving under the influence (his 3rd offense in 10 years), driving after revoked license, and refusal of a breath test (2nd offense).

He is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
