Rainy Week Ahead In Herndon

The forecast also calls for temperatures to take a dive as the week goes on.

HERNDON, VA -- The showers you see right now are going to be the norm this week in Herndon.

The National Weather Service predicts that we are likely to see rain three out of the five working days this week, although we will enjoy some sun in the middle. And temperatures are about to take a significant dip.

Expect rain to dominate both Monday and Tuesday, with up to a half an inch possible on Monday and up to three quarters of an inch on Tuesday.

The temperatures will leap up to the low 70s on Tuesday after topping out in the 50s on Monday, but they will head right back down again, maxing out in the low 60s on Wednesday, the mid 50s on Thursday, and then no higher than 50 degrees on the weekend, making it positively chilly.

The sun should reemerge on Wednesday, which will probably be the nicest day of the week. Thursday will also be sunny and a bit cooler.
