Rape, Abduction Charges Filed Against Herndon Man: Police
Herndon Police Department arrested a local man in connection with a forcible rape and abduction incident that occurred in town.

HERNDON, VA — Herndon Police Department arrested a local man in connection with a forcible rape and abduction that occurred Nov. 5 in the 1300 block of Springtide Place, according to the weekly crime report.
HPD charged Jose Adonay Cedillo Martinez, 27, of Herndon, with forcible rape, abduction and preventing the victim who was known to him from calling 911 for help. Cedillo Martinez is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
Between Nov. 23 and Nov. 29, Town of Herndon police officers issued 106 traffic summonses, including five for driving while intoxicated, 11 for driving with no operator's license, and two for driving on a suspended or revoked license.

There were three reportable traffic accidents in Herndon. Virginia State Police define "reportable crashes" as those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or injury.
