Top Parisian Hits of the 1500's. by the Collegium Cantorum, directed by Timothy Kendall. 8/23/14 at 8 pm, ArtSpace Herndon. Free

Performed in French by the company of singers Collegium Cantorum (a company of Singers) live in the Post Gallery at ArtSpace Herndon. Music Director, Timothy Kendall, will lead the Collegium Cantorum and the audience back to a time when a cultural movement changed the course of history. Be there to hear the sounds of the “rebirth” of society. Be there for perhaps the World’s First Live Performance of the complete Surviving Works of Pierre Passereau.
Enjoy refreshments in the French Peasant Style, and other surprises for your amusement.
Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted. Seating is limited, doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Collegium Cantorum is a concert choir specializing in the great musical masterpieces of medieval and Renaissance Europe. Collegium Cantorum is Latin for “early music” and for the group that means music composed between the 1100’s and 1500’s Collegium Cantorum has been performing this challenging repertoire of music in the Washington D. C., area since 1986.
