Indiana Man Gets 160 Years For Abusing, Impregnating 10-Year-Old

MARION, IN — A Marion man will spend the rest of his life in prison after being sentenced this week to more than 100 years behind bars for molesting and impregnating a 10-year-old girl. According to WXIN, 34-year-old Nicholas Deon Thrash was sentenced to 160 years in prison and will serve a minimum of 132 years following last month's jury trial where he was convicted on 10 counts of child molestation.

According to Grant County jail records, Thrash was sentenced Thursday for the charges of child molestation including molesting a child under the age of 14, sexual intercourse and other sexual conduct.

During the August trial, the victim testified that Thrash molested her at least 15 times, which left her pregnant at age 10. WXIN reported that prosecutors said she gave birth to a baby boy in September 2017 at age 11. The girl's mother is facing charges including neglect for discovering her daughter was pregnant, but told her to say it was by a classmate.

Jail records list Thrash's expected release date as Oct. 19, 2136.
