Sally Barris & Rebecca Folsom in concert September 15th @ Amphora Diner (Herndon)

Singer-Songwriters perform at Folk Club of Reston-Herndon monthly concert series, Amphora Diner Deluxe in downtown Herndon.

The Folk Club of Reston-Herndon presents A-list Nashville songwriter Sally Barris and Boulder Colorado’s Rebecca Folsom in concert Tuesday September 15th, 7:15 pm at the Amphora Diner Deluxe, 1151 Elden Street in Herndon.

Sally Barris has had songs covered by top-level artists Kathy Mattea, Martina McBride, and Lee Ann Womack. Her song “Let The Wind Chase You”, recorded by Trisha Yearwood and Keith Urban, received a Grammy nomination for vocal collaboration. While her writing credits mightily impress, fans and peers are most captivated by her bright spirit and expressive mountain soprano. During the past two years the Minnesota native has performed at Mountain Stage, the New Bedford Summer Fest, the Wildflower Arts & Music Festival and the Kerrville Folk Festival.

Rebecca Folsom writes inspiring tales of human heartbreak, redemption and freedom. She shares  songs of exquisite intimacy with soaring and angelic harmonies. Rebecca’s song “Girls Like Us” reached number 4 on the National Folk/DJ Chart and top 40 on the Roots/Americana and College Radio charts. She has performed on BBC Radio and Television in Northern Ireland, Nashville’s Bluebird, Opryland, and Tin Pan South stages, New York’s Bitter End and Falcon Ridge Folk Festival as well as the Kerrville Folk Festival and Colorado’s Rocky Mountain Folks Festival.
