Senior Safety Summit - FREE and OPEN to the PUBLIC - no RSVP needed
Friday, December 5, 2014, 10 a.m. - 12 noon, Herndon Senior Center, 873 Grace Street, Herndon, VA 20170

“Safety in our Community – Preventing the 911 Call”
Supervisor John Foust and Supervisor Cathy Hudgins are pleased to announce a FREE upcoming Senior Safety Summit for the Herndon and Reston communities.
Staff from Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department, Fairfax County Police Department, Town of Herndon Police Department, Sheriff’s Office, Consumer Affairs, Health Department, and Emergency Management will address important community safety topics.

The public is invited to attend and learn about important safety topics: fire and injury prevention, home and personal safety, Project Lifesaver (which keeps at-risk residents safer and reduces care-giver anxiety), File of Life, disaster preparedness, scam/fraud defense measures, and managing chronic disease and diabetes. This summit is geared towards seniors and senior caregivers.
There will be plenty of time to ask questions, enjoy refreshments and socialize, as well.
