On Wednesday, March 19th, Service Dogs of Virginia came to Nysmith to talk to all the 3rd and 4th grade students about this wonderful organization. The mission of Service Dogs of Virginia is to raise and train exceptional dogs and match them to a person with a disability to create greater independence.
As one of our community service projects, we hope this opportunity will foster sensitivity and broaden the students' awareness of our interdependent relationships with others.
