Snow Disappears from Herndon Sunday Forecast, But May Come Back Tuesday
How much snow does Herndon typically get in March? It's more than you think.
HERNDON, VA — So there's good news and bad news if you still want some snow before the season's over: the chances of it happening in Herndon on Sunday have all but evaporated, but now there's a solid chance we get some on Tuesday.
The snowstorm that was supposed to at least graze us on Sunday has shifted north and now we have a whopping zero percent chance of precipitation on Sunday. But the chance of snow on Tuesday is now at 70 percent, with Weather.com projecting "cloudy with snow showers transitioning to light rain" in the morning with snowfall of "around one inch." Those showers will turn back into snow in the evening if the forecast holds, with another inch of snow expected.
The previous forecast only called for a 40 percent chance of snow on Sunday, so this at least appears to be a better chance -- although, of course, you never know what will happen over the next few days.
