Snow in Herndon on Sunday? Forecast May Not Be Done With Surprises
A surprising new wrinkle to the forecast suggests that snow could make an appearance one last time, albeit briefly.

HERNDON, VA — Yes, temperatures are expected to warm back up very soon, starting this Saturday as they creep back into the 50s. But that doesn't mean Reston won't see one last lingering snow shower as winter's final act.
A new forecast from the Washington Post suggests that we may see a dusting of snow early Sunday morning, although if you don't wake up before 8 a.m., you may not even know it happened.
It's also possible that all we get are some showers between 5 and 8 a.m. March 19, or a wintry mix instead. But if you're up within that window on Sunday, you may see those snowflakes one more time.

But the inevitable march of spring will continue next week, wiping out any patches of snow that remain on the ground and bringing surviving cherry blossoms to full bloom. Temperatures are expected to linger in the high 50s to around 60 for the next week or so, and with April right around the corner, they're likely to stay there.
We may get a blast of Arctic air around Wednesday or Thursday, but it will be just a blip in the midst of spring-like temperatures, so make sure you make plans to go shopping in Herndon and enjoy this weather later this month.
