Someone at Herndon High is Leaving Anonymous Positive Notes Throughout the School

The thoughtful act has caught the attention of the town's mayor.

HERNDON, VA — It's an act of kindness that is starting to spread in the town of Herndon. Students have been finding sticky notes on their lockers and elsewhere, with hopeful messages urging them to stay positive and to reject fear.

The notes don't mention any particular event, although the highly contentious election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton surely is a very probable stressor. The gesture has caught the attention of Mayor Lisa Merkel, who shared the images on Facebook.

One note says that Herndon High School is "unafraid what the future holds," while another says the school is proud of its "culture of respect." Still another says that HHS "wants you to say true to who you are."
