Sterling Man Charged In Herndon Rape Case: Police Report

HERNDON, VA — Herndon Police arrested a Sterling man in connection with a forcible rape that occurred Oct. 3, within town limits, according to the weekly crime report.

HPD arrest Saul Recinos Duenas, 43, of Sterling, and charged him with the rape of a victim who was known to him, in the 1200 block of Springtide Place. Police transported Duenas to the Fairfax County Adult detention Center, where he is being held without bond.

Between Oct. 19-25, Town of Herndon police officers issued 124 traffic summons, including two for driving while intoxicated, six for driving with no operator's license, and six for driving on a suspended or revoked license.

There were six reportable traffic accidents in Herndon. Virginia State Police define "reportable crashes" as those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or injury.
