Teacher Tried to Meet Boy, 13, For Sex: Police
Now a middle school teacher in North Carolina, the woman was previously a Coates Elementary student teacher, according to police.

HERNDON, VA — A North Carolina woman in custody Monday is accused of attempting to meet a 13-year-old boy to engage in sex at a Herndon area hotel, according to Fairfax County Police.
Kathleen Antonina Capitano, 24, faces charges of four felony counts of use of communications systems to facilitate certain offenses involving children under 15 years of age.
At 1 p.m. Saturday, Capitano, of Shallotte N.C., arrived at the hotel with the apparent intent of meeting a young teen for sex.

"Unbeknownst to Capitano, law enforcement authorities had been alerted to her online activity and were waiting for her; she was taken into custody," according to a Fairfax County Police release.
Detectives were alerted days earlier to Capitano's plans. She had apparently met the student as a student teacher at Coates Elementary School in Herndon in 2015.

Now a teacher at a middle school in Brunswick County, N.C., Capitano was placed on administrative leave with pay, according to The Star News.
Additional charges are possible in the case, according to FCPD.
