Teen Arrested After Leading Police on High-Speed Chase in Herndon: Police
The 18-year-old lost control of his car and ran off the road, police say.

HERNDON, VA — A teenager faces a litany of charges after he refused to pull over for a police officer and then led the officer on a chase that ended near Wiehle Avenue in Herndon, police say.
A police officer was driving near the intersection of Fairfax County Parkway and Sugarland Valley Drive at around 10:40 p.m. on Sept. 22 and attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.
"The driver allegedly failed to stop and pull over and a traffic pursuit began," the report states. "The pursuit ended near Wiehle Avenue and Shaker Woods Road when the suspect lost control of his vehicle and ran off the road."

Police arrested 18-year-old Michael A. Ramirez-Bathiche of Sterling. He faces charges of reckless driving, speed to elude and driving without an operator's license.
