Thief Steals $3,000 In Jewelry From Herndon Home, But Victim Doesn't Want Investigation: Police

Someone entered a house in Herndon "by an unknown means" and stole some valuable jewelry, but the victim doesn't want police involvement.

HERNDON, VA — A thief entered a house in Herndon and made off with $3,000 worth of jewelry, but the victim doesn't want police to investigate the crime.

Police say that an unknown suspect entered a house in the 800 block of Sycamore Ct. "by an unknown means" sometime during the evening of June 14 and removed two cardboard boxes containing jewelry, according to a report from the Herndon Police Department.

Police believe the jewelry was worth about $3,000.

Despite the huge haul for the thief, the victim "declined to have the incident investigated further," the report states.
