A 'Ton Of Rain' Headed Toward Herndon: Report
A huge line of rain is quickly making its way towards us Tuesday morning.

HERNDON, VA -- A "ton of rain" is on its way toward Herndon Tuesday morning, according to one report.
The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang tweeted a radar snapshot at 6:46 a.m. that shows huge bands of intense rain on the way to the area from the south.
Flood warnings have already been issued in some parts of the region, and expect more to be issued as the day goes on.

Tuesday is expected to be the heaviest day of rain this week, but showers should continue for our area into Wednesday. Things will dry up for Thursday and Friday for the most part, but a front could bring in more rain this weekend.
