HERNDON, VA – It's that time of year: the kids are back in school, football is on, you can start to feel that little nip in the air, and pumpkin spice can be found in everything. The official first day of fall is just a week away, and that means lots of fall festivals, including one right here in Herndon and one next door in Reston.
There's quite a lot of them in Northern Virginia at this time of year, so it's tricky to determine which ones you should attend and which ones are close enough to home.

Clarendon Day is one of Arlington’s best loved and most diverse street festivals, with several music stages, a large Kid’s Area, Arts and Crafts vendors, Business and Nonprofit Exhibitors from Clarendon and the region, plenty of great food from local and regional restaurants, craft beers and Virginia wines, and more.
NatureFest is co-sponsored by The Friends of Runnymede Park and Herndon Parks and Recreation Department.
Enjoy stations which lead you through the park that include hands on activities, educational events, wildlife visitors and crafts.

Parking availability:
1. Park along Herndon Parkway (space is limited, we encourage carpooling).
2. Bike or walk if you live nearby.
3. Ride the FREE shuttle bus from the satellite parking at our sponsor Northwest Federal Credit Union at 200 Spring Street.
Fall Jubilee, in Historic Downtown Manassas is held on the first Saturday in October from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. The Jubilee will include an assortment of live entertainment for both kids and adults, with over 100 crafters and vendors as well as a wine & beer garden for the adults.
Get a head start on your holiday shopping and check out all of the unique crafters while enjoying live performances and delicious foods
The Fall Jubilee is a community event free to the public and is scheduled rain or shine. In the event of a heavy storm or dangerous weather, the Jubilee will be held on Saturday, October 14. Go to visitmanassas.org to stay updated.
5. Pumpkin Village Fall Fest (Leesburg)

This September 16th from 8 am - 4:30 pm, Public Art Reston will present, in partnership with Reston Town Center, the annual ChalkFest at Reston Town Center! All are invited to join this street art festival in transforming Market Street at Reston Town Center with beautiful chalk art. Individuals can participate in three categories: Professional Artists ($20), Amateur Artists ($15), and Families and Kids ($15). Prizes will be awarded in each category as well as an Audience Choice Award! There will also be a free Chalk Workshop led by artist Penny Hauffe from 11 am - 1 pm Saturday, September 9th, this event is open to all.
