Town of Herndon Fall Cleanup Schedule for Oct. 17-21

The town's annual fall clean-up will be held from Monday, Oct. 17 through Friday, Oct. 21. 

The clean-up provides town residents with curbside collection of larger than normal items they'd like to dispose of. Pickup takes place on residents' normal trash day only and items must be placed curbside by 7 a.m., but no earlier than 24 hours before the collection. 

Items that can be picked up include appliances with doors removed, furniture, plumbing fixtures and vehicle parts weighing less than 50 pounds, up to two tires per household, and a limited amount of building materials (about one cubic yard, with nothing longer than four feet). 

Items that cannot be collected include yard waste, vehicle parts heavier than 50 pounds, large quantities of building waste, and household hazardous waste.
