Tree Falls on Power Lines in Herndon, Road Closed
Monroe Street has been shut down due to a hazardous situation there Tuesday afternoon.

HERNDON, VA — A tree has fallen on power lines on Monroe Street in Herndon, forcing the closure of a portion of the road Tuesday afternoon.
Herndon Police tweeted at 3:34 p.m. that Monroe Street was temporarily closed between Herndon Parkway and Third Street due to the situation.
That section of road runs along Stanton Park a few blocks from Herndon Elementary School.
