When Will Cool Weather Return To Herndon? Get Ready For A Shock

HERNDON, VA -- Is it really November? Temperatures have been soaring in the Herndon area lately, and it's supposed to reach the high 70s on Friday. So just when on Earth is it supposed to cool down and actually feel like autumn again?

Unfortunately, autumn-ophiles, you're in for a long wait. While temperatures may not stay in the 70s for long, they're not going to get much lower than the mid-50s for the foreseeable future.

Temperatures will dip down in the high 50s on Saturday, but they're expected to go right back into the 70s in the D.C. area on Sunday and Monday. Then they'll finally decline back in the 50s, but it won't get any lower than that, except at night. In fact, the highs will even rise toward 60 degrees at the mid-way point of this month.

So enjoy a spring-like November.
