HERNDON, VA — Town of Herndon Police arrested a 30-year-old Woodbridge man multiple charges in connection with a fight that occurred March 13, 2022 in the 700 block of Elden Street, according to the weekly crime report.

On Thursday, Herndon Police charged Humberto Henriquez Cortez with one count each of abduction, aggravated assault, and a weapons violation. He was also served with two warrants from other law enforcement agencies.

Cortez was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he is being held without bond.

Between Jan. 16 and Jan. 22, there were a total of 140 traffic violations reported, including one for driving while intoxicated, six for driving without an operators license, and 16 for operating a vehicle while holding a phone. There were eight reportable crashes in Herndon during the week. Reportable crashes are those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or cause injury.
