“Best of Prince William County” Goes to Woodbridge Animal Hospital for the Ninth Year

WOODBRIDGE, VA, July 29, 2013—Woodbridge Animal Hospital was just announced as the winner of the 2013 “Best of Prince William County” award for veterinary hospitals. They have won this Woodbridge Patch reader’s choice award each year since 2004. “Best of Prince William County” awards are based on nominations by local customers, and then the public votes on their favorites over the summer. Woodbridge Animal Hospital’s head veterinarian Dr. Jim McDonald says he and his team are thrilled to win the award again, but that they are more proud of the excellent 24/7 pet care they provide to pets of all kinds each day.

Dr. McDonald says the awards are great, but the service Woodbridge Animal Hospital provides to its patients is the most important thing. “Of course we love getting these awards because it is a reflection of how our customers feel about how we take care of their pets. What really matters to us, though, is simply doing our very best for each patient that comes through our doors. Each of us has our own pets, so we know exactly how it feels when one of our ‘fur kids’ gets sick. It’s that combination of empathy and expert pet care we strive for every day.”

These Woodbridge veterinarians are no strangers to earning awards. Dr. McDonald and the other 12 veterinarians who keep the animal hospital running around the clock each day of the year also won the Angie’s List Super Service Award for 2012, and have won the Washingtonian’s “Best Vet” award multiple times. Woodbridge Animal Hospital is also accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), which is an honor reserved only for the top 15 percent of veterinarians in the nation. They are also accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and are established members of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society.

He adds that one thing that sets Woodbridge Animal Hospital apart from other veterinary hospitals is that they provide all of their services all day, every day of the year. “Pets always seem to get injured over holiday weekends, or they get sick overnight. During an emergency, each minute counts and you can’t just wait to have your pet seen until Monday morning. We also recognize that Northern Virginia pet owners have very busy schedules—so our 24/7, 365 model of service makes getting necessary pet care easier for everybody. Our website also has a lot of information that pet owners find useful in taking care of the pets every day.”

Woodbridge Animal Hospital provides all pet wellness care services as well as advanced pet surgery and emergency pet care 24/7, 365 days of the year. They also provide prescription pet foods, grooming and pet boarding services in addition to pet vaccinations, regular checkups and management for chronic conditions.
