High-End Couture Made in China? Not

Sarine Marie Berberian, an emerging Los Angles based designer will be launching her new line of couture clothing in late August. Her fashion line has been compared to Versace and Prada.  Sarine’s production company is housed in Los Angeles and the vast majority of her fabrics are directly from the USA  with the plans of importing laces from Paris with a variety of other fine materials. Having spoken to Sarine, she believes that using American made fabrics are good not only for her, but for the consumer as well by creating a couture line fit for celebrities, yet affordable for the everyday corporate American woman.

Sarine is not a newbie to the game of fashion.  It is in her blood. Her grandmother was a well known seamstress sought out by socialites and royalty in Lebanon. This craft was passed down to her father who has been a tailor for many celebrities including Lionel Ritchie and Michael Jackson. Her father’s most well known trademark was the creation of the one handed glove for Michael Jackson.
