Over at Kid-Friendly VA, we're all about making memories and having fun with the kiddos! Here are some great opportunities for this week:

Monday, April 23
Indoor play at the Potomac Mills Mall
Come enjoy the malls children’s play place in the grand court modeled after landmarks in Virginia. It includes a 17th century ship, cardinals depicting the state bird, Chesapeake blue crabs, George Washington and his fabled cherry tree. The new play park sits in neighborhood one, known as the mall’s fashion district.

Tuesday, April 24
Free play and free food at IKEA!
At the IKEA restaurant, kids can choose one combo meal valued at $2.49 for free! And after lunch, bring the kids down to the indoor play area. And if you sign up for IKEA Family -- their FREE loyalty program you can give your kids more Småland time—30 extra minutes (capacity-depending)!

Mommy and Me Morning Playgroup
This play group, at the Veterans Memorial Park group center, is for both babies and moms! Children ages 12-months-old up to four-years-old may attend. The group meets every Wednesday and Friday for an hour, a fee of $15 per month is required to attend this group. Room and toys are provided for children, but parents must stay -- this is not a drop-off event.

Open Skate at Prince William Ice Center
Kids of all ages can come enjoy open skate from 11 am to 1 pm! They have special Tuesday and Thursday pricing: Admission is $6 and Skate Rental is $1!

Movie Night at Wegmans
Family Movie Night at 7pm in the upstairs cafe area. Freshly popped popcorn, assorted snacks, beer and wine available for purchase. You are also welcome to purchase food from the market cafe and bring it upstairs to enjoy during the movie. Call the day prior for the movie title. This event is free and no registrations are required.

Weekends at The House
The House, an after school center for students grades four through 12, hosts Friday night get together night for $5. Activities include X-box 360, Play Station 3, Nintendo Wii, basketball, pool tables, air hockey, table tennis, soccer, volleyball and food. Parent's Night Out at Gymnastics World
Parents, go out and spend a night on the town while your kids have a blast at Gymnastics World! This event is open to the public, for 3+ years old and potty-trained -- you do not have to be a student or memeber to attend. Pre-registration is highlky recommend, but if there is space, walk-ins are welcome!

Kids to Parks Day - GPS: Uncovering Camouflage at Leesylvania State Park
On, May 19th get ready to search for the hidden world around you. Take a hike along Powell's Creek Trail (approximately 1.3 miles) and use a GPS unit to hunt for the secret techniques that animals use to disguise themselves from predators. Please pay at the Visitor Center prior to the program. Don't forget to bring water and wear close-toed shoes. Program cost is $3 per person, $8 per family, or $25 for a large group.
