Drinkcations
You don't have to travel too far to benefit from the appeals of a wine tasting.
At the end of a long weekend, such as the three day MLK one that just passed, getting back into work mode can be tough. But the thing that can get you through the week is the thought of another weekend, and the possibility of a Drinkcation...even if it's a little mini, local one. In this case, visiting local wineries.
It’s a common conception to link wine with Napa Valley, Italy, France, Spain, Australia….but VA plays a role, too.
In fact, VA wines are right up there with other state commodities like ham and peanuts. And to prove it, here are some local wineries that you may not have known about that will offer you an escape even if all you have to spare is a couple of hours on any given Saturday. Or a Wednesday 'sick' day.
