FREE Learn-To-Row Workshop

Come and discover the many benefits of rowing and learn about the variety of programs that Prince William Rowing Club has to offer. Whether it be fitness, teamwork, regattas, or enjoying the outdoors that you’re interested in, head over to the Oxford Boathouse for the second of our FREE Learn-To-Row workshops. Get a tour of the boathouse, try out an erg, and get out rowing on the waters of the Occoquan River! Geared towards adults, but anyone ages 12 and up is welcome to participate! No experience necessary. May 3, 2015, arrive anytime between 1-3 PM.

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
We recommend only ages 12 and up participate in the on-water rowing portion of the event.

Do I have to register ahead of time?
No, just bring yourself and your friends and family down to the boathouse!

What should I wear?
Wear something weather appropriate, that’s comfortable to move in. Gym clothes/athletic wear is a typical choice.

Will it be canceled if the weather is bad?
We will still row in the rain. However, if thunder and lightning are present, safety precautions prevent us from being out on the water. In that case, we’ll wait to see if it blows over before deciding to cancel.
