Occoquan's Garden Kitchen Under New Ownership

As a number of you are no doubt aware, Shar and Marie Claire Kundu recently retired, and as of close of business on Saturday, March 30, 2013, have turned the Garden Kitchen restaurant over to new owners, who will operate it under a new name, "The Secret Garden Cafe."

The Garden Kitchen has been an Occoquan institution and a wonderful oasis for many years, with the site serving residents, business owners, and visitors since 1974.  Shar and Marie Claire took over on August 1, 1990, and since that time have consistently been pleasant, enthusiastic, and extremely generous contributors to our community on many, many levels -- and dear friends.  Their regular presence will be greatly missed, but I know I speak for everyone when I say that we look forward to seeing them often.

They have asked that I extend their sincere thanks to all Occoquan residents and merchants for their support and patronage during their time in Occoquan, and I know we all wish them the very best.
