On Friday, October 18, staff at the Prince William Academy celebrated their new playground with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the school in Lake Ridge, VA. After months of fundraising, the playground is now fully constructed and ready for children to enjoy. Parents, teachers and students attended the ribbon-cutting for the new playground.
Virginia Delegate Rich Anderson, 51st House district, and Occoquan Mayor Earnie Porta also attended the event to show their support of Prince William Academy. The event concluded with an early recess for the students to try out the new playground. Transurban-Fluor, the private partners on the 95 Express Lanes project, helped fund the playground through the 95 Express Lanes Community Grant Program.
