Rockledge Elem PTA Has New Facebook Digs
The Rockledge Elementary PTA will be deleting its current Facebook page for a newly designed one that is already out.

The Rockledge Elementary Parent-Teacher Association will officially present to the public its new Facebook page after its meeting on March 3.
Facebook has become a tool to provide information in a quick fashion to anyone who "likes" the page. But the PTA had learned that important messages posted on the site were not showing up on other friends' Facebook walls because of a change Facebook programmers made to "groups."
At the March 3 meeting, the PTA will delete the current site, which can be viewed here.

The old page has a small, emotionless picture of the school. The new page has a new PTA logo with a large cartoon Eagle and a new slogan: "every child. one voice."
Here is the official message from from the PTA:
After the PTA meeting on March 3, 2011, we will close the Rockledge Elementary PTA Group on Facebook. It was brought to our attention that posts made on this group page are not showing up on people's walls any longer. Further investigation revealed that Facebook had made changes to their Groups and we now fit better on a Page. The new Rockledge Elementary Page is up and it will have the PTA logo as opposed to the picture of the school. Please "like" us there and spread the word to your friends.
