Town Of Occoquan: Remnants From Hurricane Ida Expected In The Region – Wednesday, Thursday

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for the region beginning the morning of Wednesday, September 1, through the morning of Thursday, September 2. A prolonged period of heavy rainfall is forecasted Wednesday through Thursday, with expected rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches, with localized amounts up to 6 inches possible. The expected rainfall can result potential for considerable flash flooding of creeks, small streams, and urban areas, as well as the potential for river flooding on main stem rivers.

Please monitor local forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
