3 Arrested After Stolen Credit Cards Used At Leesburg Best Buy: Police

LEESBURG, VA — Three people were arrested after police said they used stolen credit cards to purchase thousands of dollars in merchandise at a Best Buy in Leesburg.

Authorities arrested 25-year-old Leonard Roman of New York, 22-year-old Walinton Castillo Rosario of New York and 21-year-old Jeury Bol Villavicencio of Pennsylvania, who were each charged with credit card fraud, conspiracy to commit fraud and credit card theft, according to Leesburg police.

Officers responded to the Best Buy at 609 Potomac Station Drive N.E. around 7 p.m. Friday after receiving a report that three people were purchasing merchandise using multiple credit cards bearing different names.

While officers were investigating at the store, a resident contacted police to report that their credit card had just been fraudulently used at Best Buy. Officers determined the transaction was connected to the investigation already underway.

Police searched a car associated with the suspects and recovered several stolen credit cards along with thousands of dollars in merchandise believed to have been fraudulently purchased.

Roman, Rosario and Villavicencio were taken to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where all three were being held without bond.
