37 Year Cancer Survivor Dedicates 55th Birthday to Relay For Life
Join Her at American Cancer Society Loudoun Co Relay For Life in Leesburg June 4 to Spread Hope, Sponsored by Centurion Consulting Group
Wendy Medler has lived the past 37+ years immersed in the cancer journey – from having a bone marrow transplant to fight her cancer in 1985 to working at the American Cancer Society in the 90s to becoming a passionate part of the volunteer leadership of Relay For Life of Loudoun County about a dozen years later. “I have battled cancer over 5 times, am currently on 15 different medicines and have over 12 different specialist doctors that help keep me alive. This year, I'm dedicating my birthday to the American Cancer Society and Relay For Life Loudoun County. While a donation of any amount would be awesome, I'm asking for $55 or more to help me celebrate 55 years of life. 55 and still alive is a great mantra. It seems the older I get, the less I really need, and the more I want a future free from cancer.” She added this wish, “Whenever your birthday happens this year, I hope it is cancer free!!!”
