76-Year-Old Woman Struck By Vehicle In Leesburg: Police
Upon arrival, Leesburg police found the woman laying in the roadway suffering from injuries after getting hit by a vehicle.
LEESBURG, VA — A 76-year-old woman was struck by car in the area of Harrison Street SE at Catoctin Circle SE in Leesburg Tuesday night, leaving her with serious injuries, according to the Leesburg Police Department. Shortly after 7 p.m., Leesburg police dispatchers received reports of an accident involving a pedestrian in the area.
Upon arrival, police found the woman laying in the roadway suffering from injuries after getting hit by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene. Due to poor weather, the woman was transported by ambulance to a local trauma center where she is listed as being in serious condition but is expected to survive, the police said.
