Armed Robbery Reported At Leesburg Best Western: Police

Police In Leesburg are searching for a suspect in connection with an armed robbery at a Best Western hotel on Thursday morning.

LEESBURG, VA — Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Best Western hotel and conference center in Leesburg on Thursday morning. Authorities are still looking for a suspect.

No injuries were reported in the robbery, police said.

The police department described the suspect as an older Black man with a skinny build who is about 6 feet tall. He was wearing baggy clothing and a mask at the time of the robbery, authorities said.

The robbery occurred around 1 a.m. on Thursday morning at the hotel on Market Street in Leesburg. Police said a man armed with a handgun walked into the hotel and demanded cash. The cash was the only property reported missing, according to the police department.

There was a large police presence in the area on Thursday morning as police officers from the Leesburg Police Department, Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, and Fairfax County Police Department searched for the suspect.
