Ashby Ponds Awards Leesburg Area Student Scholarship

Leesburg-area student Karen Cedillos, a student at Heritage High School, is one of the 10 students recently honored by Ashby Ponds with a $1,000 scholarship.

More than 90 students are working at Ashby Ponds retirement community’s dining services department, and 10 were selected to receive scholarships.

Students who worked for a total of 1,000 hours and maintained a C average and no disciplinary issues were eligible.

Karen and the other students received the scholarship at a ceremony on Sunday.
