Amy Tubbs shares story, creative process behind "Flakey the Naked Snowman."

Amy Tubbs, an Alexandria-based artist and author, shared the creative process behind her book “Flakey the Naked Snowman,” with students at Loudoun County Day School on Thursday afternoon.

She described the story as a morality tale about the importance of giving during the holidays. Flakey, the main character, is naked because he donated his clothes to the needy, in the spirit of the season.

Tubbs described the process of creating puppets to animate and photograph for her book.
