Bulk Leaf Collection Returns To Leesburg Next Week
The Town of Leesburg will begin collecting piles of leaves from curbs next week. The program will continue through Christmas Day.

LEESBURG, VA — Bulk leaf collection is returning to the Town of Leesburg on Oct. 17. The curbside pick-up program will run until Dec. 26.
Leaves do not have to be bagged to be picked up, Leesburg officials said.
However, residents must follow several guidelines to ensure their leaves are picked up. Here are the requests from town officials:

- Place leaves at the curb by 6 a.m. on collection day
- Keep leaves away from storm inlets, fire hydrants, and utility boxes.
- Keep leaf piles within 4 feet of the curb.
- On streets without curb and gutter, place leaves along the front property line, close to the street.
- Keep vehicles at least 4 feet away from leaf piles.
- For your safety, do not park vehicles on leaf piles.
- Do not place equipment or toys near the leaves.
- Do not mix grass clippings, yard waste, brush, or trash with leaves.
The collection program will follow a regular schedule. However, officials noted that inclement weather could delay pick-ups. Routes may take up to 10 days.

- Mondays – Northeast quadrant
- Tuesdays – Northwest quadrant
- Wednesdays – Southeast quadrant
- Thursdays – Southwest quadrant
- Fridays – King and Market streets
- Saturdays – Make-ups
