Revolutionary Stories: Honoring Black Patriots and Loyalists in the American Revolution is part of Loudoun Museum’s Revolutionary Stories: Loudoun and Beyond program series. Alicia Cohen and Gertrude Evans, members of the Black History Committee of the Friends of Thomas Balch Library, examine perspectives, struggles, and triumphs faced by Black Americans, including several from Loudoun County, in their dual battles for liberty and equality. They will highlight the significant contributions of Crispus Attucks, Elizabeth Freeman, James Armistead Lafayette, and other Black Americans.
