Census 2020 Jobs Paying Up To $25 An Hour Open In Loudoun County

The U.S. Census Bureau is hiring thousands of temporary workers in Loudoun County and elsewhere for the 2020 head count.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — The Loudoun Workforce Resource Center is hosting a full-day event Jan. 8, 2020, with the U.S. Census Bureau to recruit census takers. Hundreds of U.S. census takers are needed to canvass door-to-door in Loudoun neighborhoods from spring through summer 2020.

Census takers will interview members of households that have not responded to the census to collect census information. Taken every 10 years, the census determines how much money communities receive for aid programs, such as school meals, crime victim assistance and housing vouchers. It also affects how state legislative districts are drawn and the number of congressional representatives for each state.

The census taker positions, which have a starting pay of $25.00 per hour, may be part-time and flexible. Paid training for U.S. census takers is provided as well. Applicants must be U.S. citizens with access to reliable transportation.
