Child Pornography Indictment Handed Hamilton Man

HAMILTON, VA—A Hamilton man who recorded a sexual encounter with a juvenile was indicted Wednesday on child pornography charges by a federal grand jury in Alexandria, according to the U.S. Justice Department. Indicted was Logan Roy McCauley, 25.

According to court documents, in November 2017, McCauley drove to West Virginia and picked up a girl he had met online, after which he took her to his Hamilton residence. The girl's family had reported her missing, and police were able to find her by tracing Internet activity on one of her social media accounts.

McCauley admitted he had sexual intercourse with the girl and had used him Apple iPhone to record one of the encounters.
