Christmas Parade, Tours: Leesburg 2019 Holiday Events

LEESBURG, VA — The Leesburg Christmas tree lighting kicks off the holiday season on Dec. 6 followed by the Dec. 14 annual holiday parade when the holiday spirit will be in full swing, starting at 6 pm. The parade will usher Santa and his friends down King Street, through Historic Leesburg. The parade will begin at Ida Lee Drive and end at Fairfax Street. Parade participation is open to the public, including businesses, civic groups, teams, organizations, and community groups.

Leesburg and other towns in western Loudoun County will be hosting other holiday events throughout the month of December. Check out the calendar for an event that interests you.

Dec. 6 — Leesburg Christmas Tree Lighting, Town Green, 6 p.m.

Dec. 6 — Purcellville Tree Lighting, Town Hall, 6:30 p.m.

Dec. 6 — Selfies With Santa, Loudoun Museum, 16 Loudoun Street SW, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Dec. 7 — A Roaring Prohibition Christmas Party, Tarara Winery, 13648 Tarara Lane, 6 p.m.

Dec. 7 — Christmas In Middleburg, events scheduled in the town throughout the day, begins at 8 a.m.

Dec. 7 — Winter Roller Skate Party, The Bush Tabernacle is located at 205 S. Nursery Ave in Purcellville, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Dec. 7, 14, 21 — Brunch with Santa at Winter WonderLansdowne, Lansdowne Resort and Spa, 44050 Woodridge Parkway, 10 a.m.

Dec. 7-8 — Leesburg Holiday Fine Arts and Crafts Show, Ida Lee Park Recreation Center

Dec. 8 — Holiday Open House at Dodona Manor, Enjoy free tours, gingerbread cookie decorating and hot cider, 312 East Market Street, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Dec. 13— Rockin’ With Rudolph, Santa will be on hand for pictures, along with Rudolph and Frosty, Ida Lee Recreation Center, 60 Ida Lee Drive NW, 6:30 p.m.

Dec. 14 — Leesburg's Annual Christmas and Holiday Parade, begins at Ida Lee Drive, 6 p.m.

Dec. 14 — Purcellville Christmas Parade and Holiday Festivities, parade begins at Loudoun Valley High School, 10 a.m.

Dec. 14 — Broadlands Holiday Market, local artisans, outside winter market, Nature Center Parking Lot, 21907 Claiborne Parkway, noon to 3 p.m.

Dec. 14 — Jingle Bell Rock & Run, 5K or 10K race, or the 1K Jammie Jingle Fun Run, One Loudoun, 20626 Easthampton Plaza, 9 a.m.
