Community Tips Identified Leesburg Robbery Suspect: Police
A man accused of a robbery at a Leesburg convenience store was identified by tips from the community, authorities said.
LEESBURG, VA — A man accused of a robbery in Leesburg was identified thanks to tips from the community, the police department said in a news release.
The man, Shaquante Simms, was arrested on Sunday in West Virginia. He is charged with one count of robbery in Loudoun County. He faces additional charges from law enforcement agencies in Virginia and West Virginia.
Simms is being held without bond in West Virginia. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.

The robbery occurred on Dec. 3 around 1 a.m. at a 7-Eleven on Dry Mill Road SW, according to the police report. Authorities said the robber demanded money from the register, took the cash, and ran out of the store.
No injuries were reported, police said.
