Drunk Driver Nearly Hits Cop In Leesburg: Police
A drunk driver who almost hit a police cruiser proceeded to lead police on a short chase Friday in Leesburg before being arrested: LCSO.

LEESBURG, VA—A drunk driver who almost hit a police cruiser proceeded to lead police on a short chase Friday night on Sycolin Road before the vehicle abruptly stopped when the driver passed out, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Michael L. Jackson, 49, of Aldie, was charged with felony eluding, driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license, obstruction of justice, refusal of a breath test, failure to maintain proper lane control and not wearing a seat belt. A passenger, Damln A. Walker, 50, of Haymarket, was charged with public intoxication.
Around 10 p.m., a deputy saw a vehicle not staying in its lane, and it nearly hit the officer's cruiser. When the deputy hit his lights, the vehicle slammed his brakes, changed lanes and hit a left-side guardrail. It then crossed back over to the right lane before stopping in the road near Route 15 and Fort Evans Road.

When the officer approached the vehicle, both the driver and his passenger were slumped over, and arrests were made shortly thereafter.
