EIT 2.0 Founder Joe T. May Transfers Ownership to Industry Veteran Dr. PK Swain
Leadership transition strengthens innovation and positions company for future growth

EIT 2.0, a leader in ultraviolet (UV) measurement and avionics solutions based in Leesburg, Virginia, today announced that founder Joe T. May has transferred ownership to Pradyumna Kumar “PK” Swain, Ph.D.
Founded in 1977, EIT 2.0 has built a strong reputation for providing innovative solutions in the area of precision instrumentation and customer-focused engineering across industries including industrial UV curing, LED, germicidal UV applications, and avionics. This transition marks a significant milestone and positions the company for continued growth under experienced leadership. Together, Joe T. May and Dr. Swain hold more than 50 patents, underscoring EIT 2.0’s deep foundation in innovation.
Dr. Swain brings decades of industry expertise to his new role as President and Chief Executive Officer. He previously served as President of Heraeus Noblelight America and held senior leadership roles including Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Technology at Fusion UV, as well as leadership positions at Sarnoff Corporation (formerly RCA Laboratories). Most recently, he has served as Chief Operating Officer of EIT 2.0, where he has been instrumental in guiding the company’s operations and strategy.

Joe T. May, who served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 1994 to 2014 representing parts of Loudoun, Frederick, and Clarke Counties, will remain involved with the company as Chief Inspiration Officer, focusing on the development of future products and continued innovation. The transition reflects a planned succession strategy and ensures continuity for employees, customers, and partners.
