Arbor Day Tree Tour & Planting Workshop

Hear the stories of some of Morven Park’s most treasured trees, including a gnarled post oak believed to be the one mentioned in a Confederate soldier’s journal and a sapling cloned from what was once the oldest living white oak in the U.S. Learn about these and many other trees during the Arbor Day celebration led by Morven Park Horticulturalist Keith McMillan. Each participant will receive a seedling to plant at home. Registration $10 at www.arbordaytour.eventbrite.com or by calling 703-777-2414, ext. 6625. Tour begins in the public parking lot and will be easily walkable, but comfortable shoes strongly encouraged.
