FAMILY OPENS A BUSINESS THEY BELIEVE IN
Father and son go into business together with their SuperGreen Solutions location.

Lloyd Telford has been working in green energy consulting for the past five years. “This is a cause near and dear to my heart,” said Telford. “Everyone should be educated on climate change and other pertinent topics to help put our planet back to where it needs to be.”
Lloyd, together with his son, Lloyd Jr., will put his knowledge and experience to great use as the owner of his SuperGreen Solutions located at 19524 Front Street. Lloyd opened his SuperGreen Solutions earlier this year.
The father and son pair makes a strong business team, each bringing a different set of skills and experiences to the table. Lloyd Sr. received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering over 30 years ago and worked for the family electrical contracting and retail business before opening his own business. Lloyd Jr. also worked for the family business before moving to Miami where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Initially, both Telford’s will be involved in the day to day operations of their recently opened SuperGreen Solutions which serves northern Virginia. “We see SuperGreen Solutions as not only a viable and profitable business, but as a business that fits our holistic approach to like with a belief in sustainability principles,” said Lloyd Sr. He went on to say that although the “green” movement is still in its early stages, it is starting to catch on quickly.
“As technology advances and knowledge increases, we will see a higher demand for green products,” said Lloyd Sr. “As a more sustainable approach takes hold in society and society gains a higher awareness on our current situation, and we see this concept only increasing.”

Going green also means saving money in the long run which is an important advantage to commercial clients. “The economic climate has increased the need for a more sustainable approach to energy and the need to cut costs where possible,” said Lloyd Sr. “There are not too many ways companies can bring costs down. SuperGreen Solutions provides a strong product line that will decrease energy costs, no matter the line of business.”.
SuperGreen currently has 40 locations in ten countries. Franchise owners are required to have a brick-and-mortar showroom but also offer in-home consultations. The company has identified several domestic expansion markets in OH, OR, CA, TX, NV, AZ, NM and TN to name a few. SuperGreen has also ramped up its international expansion, awarding development licenses in Brazil, India, Nigeria, Australia and Panama. By the end of 2016, the company expects to have 100 stores open and plans call for a total of 300 locations within 3 to 5 years.
