Fifth Grade Students Create Holiday Artwork

The National Conference Center will select one first place winner, whose work will be featured on this year's holiday card.

On Tuesday, the National Conference Center (NCC) in Leesburg hosted thirty fifth grade art students from Seldens Landing Elementary School. For the sixth year in a row, students had the opportunity to sketch a winter scene and submit their artwork for a chance to be featured on this year’s NCC holiday card.

In 2010, Seldens student Jun Luu, 9, was the first place winner, and Sarah Lawless, 11, and Aoife O'Connor, 10, tied for second place. Last year, first place went to Kareem Elsharkawy, second place went to Rodrigo Nadal and third place went to Valerie Navamal.

Students from Mrs. Sackadorf’s class will be notified after Thanksgiving as to whether or not they won.
